I READ your article in last week's Journal about the dogs fouling on Fordham recreation ground.
Can I just say that I have lived in this village for more than 20 years, have had dogs all my life and have been very responsible when walking my dog over the green. I have never left mess anywhere.

It is the arrogant dog owners of today that are spoiling it for others.

But can you tell me what a bunch of kids were doing the other day destroying all the lower branches of the trees and leaving empty vodka bottles, beer cans and food litter everywhere?

They park there in cars with loud music on – groups of kids just hanging around – looking at you with intimidation. Is Cllr Roper going to do something about that, too?

Fordham isn't a nice, quiet village anymore and for the next six weeks I don't think I'll be brave enough to walk my dog around the green.
