Village play area gets £5,000 boost
WICKHAMBROOK has been given £5,000 to refurbish its play area.
The cash is from the Suffolk Housing Society as part of its village gold initiative, which aims to help rural areas improve quality of life or community facilities.
Ian Winslet, society chief executive, said: “We have a further £15,000 to allocate to projects across the county during 2012 and would encourage anyone who has an idea which could benefit their rural community to get in touch for more information.”
