Stadium is not hidden
AS a fan of speedway and motocross, could someone please explain to me why people move to the countryside, then realise there is a speedway stadium, complete with stockcar, greyhound racing and motocross track in the area?
They then try to close them because they think they are too noisy. Do they also not see a USAF base that flies large tanker aircraft every day and night when viewing the property?
My grandson Taylor Hampshire (9) uses Motoland most weekends, along with may other local youngsters, to practice for race days and competitions, held here and at other tracks around the country.
On race days I give up my Sundays to marshal for these events, along with many other local parents. This promotes support to all those who use the track and provides these youngsters with the ability to practice their skills. If these facilities were to close there would be nowhere for them to practice and improve in this sport.
Motocross, speedway, stockcar and greyhound racing takes place every weekend and provides a great source of entertainment for all the family and is enjoyed by many people.
A great amount of money has been spent by Motoland (Chris Bastick) and the stadium owner (Dave Coventry) to put up banks and fences to alleviate noise, as instructed by the local council.
Why will people not live and let live? Or is this part of their make-up to enjoy complaining?
