Silence should have been broken earlier
As chairman of Anglia Community Leisure I have regular dealings with David Burnip and his senior colleagues.
I have always found them courteous, responsive to requests and prompt in replying to letters.
They are well paid but not earning an unreasonable amount and certainly no more than persons with similar qualifications in the private sector.
Save Historic Newmarket seems to indulge in a level of confrontational abuse which can hardly endear them to council officers any more than it endears them to me.
I would suggest that better manners might promote a higher level of understanding.
