Sale no secret

A headline on your letters' page last week read: "Why couldn't we have been told?" - the answer is they were told.

SHNAG's recollection of the meeting in Newmarket on May 24 is inaccurate.

I was at that meeting and I answered the question about Rockfield House, not David Burnip.

I told the audience, several times, that we were disposing of Rockfield House for best consideration.

There was no reason to hide this and I openly told the meeting the property was being put on the market.
