One-off stall should be premanent
ON a recent Saturday my wife noticed a new women's wear stall on the local market square.
When commenting on this to a person manning the stall, she was told it was only a one-off visit.
Furthermore, the stall holder had tried for some time to obtain a pitch but had been continually refused on the grounds that there was no room or similar.
If there is any truth in this, there is something wrong with the market organisation.
As we know it is dying on its feet compared with other towns and surely further traders should be welcomed with open arms?
