Obituary: Joe Hindle
FORMER carpet fitter Joe (Harwood Raymond) Hindle, of Armstrong Close, Newmarket, died at his home on January 12. He was 60 and had been ill for 15 months.
Born in Newmarket, he attended All Saints’ Primary and Newmarket Secondary Modern schools, and worked for All Square Flooring as a carpet fitter for around 23 years from the age of 15. He then worked for other businesses as a fitter.
He had a keen interest in horseracing and had also been a darts player at The Grosvenor, Duke of Wellington, Prince of Wales, Carpenters Arms and The Yard.
Mr Hindle is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and leaves a son, Jason, and two grandchildren, Isla and Bayley.
His funeral was held at All Saints’ Church, Newmarket, on January 25 and the Rev Max Osborne officiated.
