Obituary: Hilda King

Hilda King, of Ness Court, Burwell, died at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, on October 16. She was 92.

Born in Burwell, she attended the Burwell Secondary School and later became a housewife and mother.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, doing crosswords and sewing.

Mrs King is survived by her husband James (Jim), and leaves three daughters, and four granddaughters.

Her funeral was held at West Suffolk Crematorium, Risby, on October 25 and the service was taken by the Rev David Bush.

Family and other mourners were: Jim King (widower), Helen Platt (rep Mr and Mrs Andrews and Lisa), Mr and Mrs Waters, Sharon and Angela Platt, Samantha Waters, Barry Waters, Sandra Bitton, Jason Bitton, Angela King, Wendy McLees, Linda Branch, Sue Fuller, Pam George (Cheryl Maddox), Sylvia Bowman (Paul, Gemma and ‘Mum 2’), Mandy Goodchild, Steve Creasor and Mr and Mrs M Read.
