Obituary: Bryan Turner

The funeral of Bryan Turner, took place at West Suffolk Crematorium, Risby, on December 5.

Mr Turner, of Silverley Way, Ashley, died in St Nicholas’ Hospice Care, at Bury St Edmunds, on November 22 after a short illness. He was 79.

Born in Burntwood, Lichfield, Staffordshire, he attended Chase Terrace Middle School, and for 17½ years worked at Sprite Caravans in Newmarket. Later he was a cook for the horseracing students.

His hobbies included horseracing and golf.

Mr Turner is survived by his wife Beryl and also leaves three stepsons, Greville, Adrian and Nicholas, and seven step-grandchildren, Nathan, Scott, Jade, Jordan, Natalie, Sharon and Ellen.

Chaplain to the horseracing industry, the Rev Graham Locking conducted the service.
