MP to visit racing school
Newmarket MP Matthew Hancock will be put through his paces at the British Racing School tomorrow.
He will be visiting the Snailwell Road school as part of National Apprenticeship Week, and will be shown round its facilities.
As well as being told about the training the school offers, he will be sampling it first hand when he is given the leg up on a racehorse to ride up the gallops against one of the school’s foundation apprenticeship students.
“As one of the biggest providers of apprenticeships in our region we are delighted that Mr Hancock has agreed to come and visit us and speak with the trainees who are working towards their Level 2 Diploma in Racehorse Care,” said Rory MacDonald, the school’s chief executive.
