Margaret Pollard

MARGARET Pollard, of Brook Street, Soham, died peacefully in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, on June 22. She was 77.

Born and living all but six years of her life in Soham, she worked for the egg packing station before she married Tony Pollard in February 1956.

She returned to work after having her family, changing her career to work at Soham County Infant School where she supported many children in and out of the classroom.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and relaxing at the family caravan on the Suffolk coast.

Her hobbies included making and decorating celebration cakes, knitting and many other crafts.

Mrs Pollard is survived by her husband Tony, and leaves a daughter, Kathryn, son David, and four grandchildren, Antony, Nicola, George and Sarah.

A celebration of her life took place at St Andrew's Church, Soham, on July 2 and the Rev Tim Alban-Jones officiated.

Family mourners were: Tony Pollard (widower), Kathryn and Barry Sore, David and Shirley Pollard, Antony, Nicola, George and Sarah, Kimberley, Lee, Keith and Viv and Laura.
