Letter: You’ll be a pensioner one day, Diana ...

AFTER reading the letter from Diana Bugg (Journal, February 2), I consider she is being very selfish regarding not wanting the supermarkets in Newmarket and says people should travel to them out of town.

Has she ever considered the pensioner or the people on benefits who, if we don’t have these supermarkets would have to get our groceries from convenience shops and pay more for our groceries, and to go shopping out of town and bring groceries back would be impossible.

Maybe one day she will be a pensioner and wish she had these shops.

People like her only think of themselves with no thought of others.
