Letter: ‘Why must these visitors churn up verges?’

WHAT a pity some customers of the shooting shop in Mill Hill in Newmarket think it is fine to churn up the grass verges with their four-wheel drive vehicles, to park obstructing the pavement or to cause an obstruction by parking directly outside the shop on double yellow lines.

I am sure these people, wherever they come from, would not like it if visitors to their neck of the woods were so inconsiderate.

There is a perfectly good public car park just a stone’s throwfrom the shop on the market square or at The Guineas, if these visitors could be bothered to use them.

It would certainly prevent further erosion of what is left of the verges and stop illegal obstruction of a footway.
