I note that increasing parking fees at Newmarket car parks is under discussion which is fair enough. As already mentioned, the cost should be borne by the people who use them and not generally by all council tax payers.
Having said that, isn't it time that some car parking costs should be borne by the people parking in public car parks at Mildenhall and Brandon which I understand are free?
