Letter: Give a gift

January is often a time of reflection on the year just gone and for some of your readers that will sadly mean remembering that they lost a loved one.

Many of them will have chosen to pay their respects by making a gift to charity and I would like to express my thanks to all those who donated to CLIC Sargent’s work supporting children and young people with cancer in this way.

In Memory gifts forwarded to us from funeral directors in East Anglia don’t just commemorate

those who have passed but provide genuinely needed funds towards the work of the CLIC Sargent team based at Ipswich and Addenbrooke’s hospitals, caring for local children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Gifts to CLIC Sargent are not only a special way of celebrating someone’s life, they support our work for the future and help us towards our vision of a world where all children and young people with cancer live life to the full, and for that we really are grateful.

I would be happy to hear from anyone who would like to know more about the clinical, practical and emotional support we give to children and young people with cancer, and their families at the time of their cancer diagnosis and through their treatment.

I can provide more information to any of your readers who would like to support CLIC Sargent in the name of someone who was special to them.
