Joseph Watson

LIFE-LONG Isleham resident Joseph Reginald Watson died at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, on February 13. He was 99.

Born in the village, Mr Watson, who was known as Reg, was educated at the school before working in agriculture all his life, having had his own smallholding. A long retirement kept him busy on his allotments and garden.

Married to his late wife Dorothy for almost 70 years, he leaves a son Alan, daughter Jean, three grandchildren, Jane, Gary and Neil, and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gayle, Jack, Harry and Emily.

His funeral took place at St Andrew's Church, Isleham, on February 23 and the Rev Kate Peacock officiated.

Family mourners were: Alan and Cicely Watson, Jean Goodwin, Neil Watson (rep Fiona and Emily), Jane and Gary Bullman, Andrew and Gayle Bullman, Gary and Lynn Watson (Joan Bullman), Jack and Harry Watson, Christine and Brian Loynes and Emma and Carl Warboys.
