NEWMARKET JOURNAL FEB 2011. Sri Lankan students on exchange programme pictured at St Andrews church, Soham
A GROUP of Sri Lankan students visited Soham as part of an exchange project.
Six students, a teacher and the principal of Maliyadeva College stayed with families of students and teachers from Soham Village College. It was the fifth year an exchange trip had run between the two colleges as part of a scheme funded by the Global School Partnerships at the British Council. The Sri Lankan pupils took part in lessons and visited Ely Cathedral, Pembroke College, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and London.
They are pictured during a visit to St Andrew’s Church, Soham, alongside village college pupils and the Rev Tim Alban-Jones.
