Fashion sale boost for hospice

FASHION followers who bagged bargains at a Newmarket store have helped to raise thousands of pounds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Anne Furbank in the town’s High Street held a one-day sale of clothes from previous seasons in November.

The event raised £2,400 which was presented to the hospice by the store’s managing director, Rebecca Furbank, who decided to support the charity after visiting its base in Bury St Edmunds.

Hospice Care corporate fundraiser Abby Mayes said: “I can’t thank Anne Furbank enough for the amount it has raised for the hospice.

“Everyone who bought something on the sale day not only got a bargain but helped a worthy cause.”
