Care scheme gets stuck into some great new reads

Tenants of an Exning care scheme will be turning into bookworms thanks to a recent donation.

Exning Court, in Cotton End Road, is one of 73 care homes and extra care schemes to receive a supply of large print books from large print and audio book specialist W. F. Howes.

Matthew Blackledge, manager of Exning Court, said: “Many of our tenants love getting stuck into a good book, however, as you get older, your eyesight can often deteriorate, so when you are reading it can be hard to concentrate.

“These large print books will make a huge difference to our tenants and we are so grateful to WF Howes for their generosity and helping our residents to continue to do something they really enjoy.”

More than 12,000 books have been sent out to care homes and extra care schemes across the country.
