Barbara Bond

FORMER farmer's wife, Barbara Lilly Ethel Bond, died at Mabbs Hall nursing home, Mildenhall, on November 18. She was 90.

Born in Wilde Street, Beck Row, and educated at West Row and Beck Row schools, she had lived at Hall Farm, Undley, for 41 years.

As well as being the wife of a farmer, she enjoyed watching her son and grandsons play cricket, and completing tapestries for family and friends, one of which - The Last Supper - hangs in St Mary's Church, Mildenhall.

Widow of the late Leslie, Mrs Bond leaves a son Richard, daughter, Barbara, five grandchildren, Lesley, Andrew, Zoe, Richard and Zena, and seven great-grandchildren, Dominic, Ben, Callum, Matthew, Adam, Lucia and James.

Her funeral was held at Beck Row Methodist Church on November 27 and the Rev B Morris and Rev Scott Watts officiated.

Family mourners were: Mr and Mrs R Bond, Mrs B Carrington, Mr and Mrs S Palmer (rep Dominic and Ben), Mr and Mrs A Bond (Callum, Matthew and Adam), Mr and Mrs R Carrington (James), Miss Z Carrington (Lucia) and Mrs O Coutts.
